Dr. William Okyere-Frempong

Dr. William Okyere-Frempong wears many hats, as a medical doctor, management leader, motivational coach, and minister of the gospel. He holds an MBChB in Medicine & Surgery, an Executive Certificate in Business Administration, a Certificate in Healthcare Administration & Management, Certificates in Monitoring & Evaluation, and Economic Evaluation of Global Health, a Masters in Organizational Leadership & Governance, and a Masters in Ministry.

He is the founding Medical Superintendent of the Nungua LEKMA Polyclinic. Here he combines his clinical practice and managerial responsibilities with competence and sterling character. Yet above and beyond being a leading doctor, Dr. Will as he is affectionately known is the Africa EPSA Regional CEO of The HuD Group~ an international leadership and mentorship organization. He is also the lead coach at RoverMed Consult~ a human capital and corporate development firm and served as an independent consultant to CDC Foundation’s Field Epidemiologists Training Program for Thailand, Ethiopia, China, and India. In these roles, he frequently offers training to emerging leaders and established professionals.

Dr. Will is an accredited DISC coach and a certified professional coach. He is a member of the Institute of Directors Ghana, Board Chair of the Ebenezer Baptist Christian School, and the current Advisory Board Chair of the US-Ghana Alumni Association. He is also a member of the Lausanne Movement’s YLGen and a widely received itinerant preacher. All these efforts have not gone unnoticed as he received some recognitions and awards. Notable among them include a 2014 recipient of the Nobles International Award; a 2023 40under40 award recipient and the 2023 winner of the Ghana Health Service Leadership Excellence Award for the regional primary level hospital category.

William is a 2020 Hubert Humphrey Public Health Policy & Management fellow from Emory University and a 2022 Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellow.
