Dr. Kofi Mintah Oware

Dr. Kofi Mintah Oware is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Banking and Finance –Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) and Head of the Centre for Business Development & Consultancy Services at the Institute of Research Innovation and Development (IRID) at KsTU. He is also an entrepreneur and is the Executive Director of Upstage Community School, Kumasi; Chairman and CEO of OMK Fish Farms and OMK Asset Management and Investments Ltd.

He is a member of Institute of Cost Executives and Accountants (FCEA-UK) and Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) Ghana. He holds PhD in Business Administration from Mangalore University, India and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen Business School) in Scotland, UK.

He has worked in blue chip companies in various capacities including Chief Accountant, Head of Finance and General Manager for finance and administration in Ghana and Research Consultant to Aberdeen Business women network in the United Kingdom.

Since entering academia in 2011, he has conducted extensive research and published in several peer-reviewed international journals. He has over 45 publications in various peer-reviewed journals attributed to his name. He has also reviewed over 50 manuscripts for many international journals including; Society and Business Review, an Emerald publication; FIIB Business Review, a Sage publication; Meditari Accountancy Research, an Emerald publication; and International Journal of Finance and Economics, a Wiley publication. He was appointed in 2021 and 2024 as the chairman of a technical session at the International Conference in India. In 2019 he was also appointed as an international resource person in several universities in India. Currently, he acts in the capacity of an external supervisor on PhD Thesis.
